Why isn't my full transaction history imported?

Some financial institutions, including IBKR in certain cases, limit the downloadable transaction history to a fixed number of years. This causes three issues: analytics only cover the available years, the computed cash balance becomes incorrect, and the lack of an initial deposit transaction makes performance and contribution analytics unreliable.

To work around this, when IBviz receives a partial transaction history, the assets held on the earliest available date are recorded as in-kind deposits.
